A year from now, we’ll all have heard Nas’ next album (hopefully) and will be able to sit down and read his tell all memoir entitled It Ain’t Hard To Tell. Co-written by TourĂ©, Nas will delve into his beefs with Jay-Z and Bill O’Reilly, his past relationships with Carmen Bryan and Kelis, and his mother’s battle with cancer. Shouts to XXL on the heads up.

Nas says Frank Ocean is one of the brightest new stars
It takes true talent to command Nas’ attention. The hip-hop icon continues to single out Frank Ocean, calling him one of today’s brightest new stars.
“Frank Ocean is just a new gust of wind to move things out the way and give us something new,” the “Nasty” MC previously told Billboard of the Odd Future crooner, who’s worked with Jay-Z, Kanye West, and BeyoncĂ©.
During a recent interview with Toronto’s Flow 93.5, he elaborated on who he was referring to, saying, “Just the garbage, the garbage pail kids out there that’s everywhere.”
The discerning Nas bestowed praise on the “Novacane” singer. “Everybody just don’t have it, so somebody that comes out like Frank Ocean and does it his way and sings his way, it’s fresh, it’s good for the game,” he explained.
The two have been in the studio together and Nas is counting on their collaborations to make his upcoming album. “I need Frank Ocean on the album. We actually started working, so I gotta finish it.”
Nas is expected to announce an official title and release date for his 10th album in the next week.

Eminem has earned yet another accolade. Rolling Stone has bestowed the rap titan with its current King of Hip-Hop title based on his album sales, YouTube views, and social-media scores.
Not far behind Marshall Mathers is Lil Wayne, who claims second place based on his album and ticket sales, online rankings, and awards, while his Young Money cohort Drake comes in third.
The list is not a ranking of all-time greatest MCs. Instead, the magazine selected 20 solo rappers who have dropped an album from 2009 through the first seven months of 2011. The positions were determined by album sales, rankings on the R&B/hip-hop and rap charts, YouTube views, social media, concert grosses, industry awards, and critics’ ratings.
Contenders included Big Boi, B.o.B, Diddy, Drake, Eminem, Fabolous, Lupe Fiasco, Gucci Mane, Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg, T.I., Waka Flocka Flame, Kanye West, and Wiz Khalifa.
Despite the “king” title, Nicki Minaj is the sole female on the list, beating out some of her male peers for the No. 6 spot. See the full list below.

Tyler, The Creator takes more shots at Bruno Mars
Tyler, the Creator has trouble on his mind once again. The Odd Future ringleader is firing off another round of insults directed at Bruno Mars.
Tyler spews more venom at the “Grenade” singer, as well as Chris Brown, Tyler Perry, and Game himself on “Martians vs. Goblins,” a cut off the latter’s R.E.D. Album. “Bruno Mars is still sucking d**k and fu**ing male butts in the same closet that Tyler Perry gets clothes from,” blasts the OFWGKTA member.
While it’s unknown what triggered his hate for Mars, it was Tyler who threw the first punch on his single “Yonkers,” threatening to “stab Bruno Mars in his goddamn esophagus/ And won’t stop until the cops come in.”
Both artists will compete for Video of the Year at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards and are scheduled to attend. Tyler has already made it clear that he doesn’t want to lose to his rival. “IF I FUCKING LOSE TO FUCKING BRUNO FUCKING MARS IM GOING ON A KILLING SPREE. DEADASS,” he wrote.
