Dr. Dre Shoots Down Holographic Tupac Tour Rumors

Dr. Dre performed again this weekend at Coachella, and the Tupac hologram was used for the second time.

Since rumors have circulated since his first performance that the Tupac hologram would potentially go on tour with Dre, he addresses the rumors himself, saying that this Tupac hologram was created strictly for Coachella 2012; however he doesn't completely rule out the possibility of a tour.

"It was strictly for Coachella, get it right. I want to get rid of all the rumors out there. This was not done for a tour. If a tour happens, we'll see. This was done strictly for Coachella 2012, just for you."

Dr. Dre Gives Rick Ross a $100,000 Watch For His Birthday

A$AP Rocky Making Big Moves

The livest audience on television got even liver when A$AP Rocky stopped by “106 & Park.” Draped in a fur vest, the fashion-forward MC, whose real name is Rakim, spoke about being named after the legendary MC and how his mother had him sign his diaper as a baby. The day before, he met his namesake for the first time on Angie Martinez’s radio show and had him autograph more Pampers.

The Harlem rapper will join Drake’s “Club Paradise” tour later this month. “Drake reached out to me when I was on the Internet making music, and he was like, ‘Yo, I like what you’re doing and all that. I want you to come on tour with me. I’m influenced by you, I’m inspired,’” he shared.

Expect more big things from Rocky, whose debut will be released on Polo Grounds Music/RCA Records. “I’m just doing what I’ve been doing. I’m being me. Being pretty, that’s what I do.”

@DWHY lands a spot on Rap-Up's "10 Artists To Watch In 2012"

When a rapper can hold his own on a remake of Drake’s Bay-inspired track “The Motto,” it’s cause enough to take a listen to his efforts. New York-born, West Virginia-bred rhymer D-WHY crafted “Kate Upton Is the Motto,” his version of the Toronto MC’s smash and a dedication to Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Kate Upton. At 23, he’s a wordsmith, can pass for a Gap model, and a college graduate with a degree from West Virginia University. His witticism can be heard on “Shooter McGavin,” his take on Childish Gambino’s “Freaks and Geeks,” or “Devil Horns to All,” an ode to Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow,” and will surely be demonstrated on his upcoming mixtape, Don’t Flatter Yourself. Diggy Simmons is already tapped to appear on the project and lauded producers Hit-Boy, Boi-1da, T-Minus, and Dot Da Genius are locked in for production.

Cudi promises 'Wizard' album will change music

Kid Cudi has set the bar high for his next album. The Cleveland MC promises fans that his upcoming project will change the face of music.

The rapper-turned-actor, who stars in the new season of HBO’s “How to Make It in America,” formed the rock band 2 Be Continuum with “Day ‘N’ Nite” producer Dot da Genius, and will release its debut album Wizard by the end of the year via his Wicked Awesome Records. “Ima need everyone to understand, when this Wizard album drops, the world of music is going to change, for the better. I promise. December!” tweeted Cudi.

He recently scrapped his mixtape A Man Named Scott so he could put all his energy into the album. “Trust im working extra hard to make this shit as amazing as possible and get yall some new jams,” he said.

Cudder will show off his newly-honed guitar skills on the project. “I’ve only been playing guitar for nine months but the records are f**king epic, epic. I’m really psyched,” he previously wrote.

Additionally, the newly sober Cudi announced plans to release a new song called “High Off Life!” and is preparing the follow-up to last year’s Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager.
