Tyler, The Creator up for MTV's VMAs

Katy Perry, Adele, and Kanye West may have celebrated their MTV Video Music Awards nominations, but no one was more excited than Tyler, the Creator. The Odd Future frontman was over the moon after receiving his first two VMA nods.

“I AM NOMINATED FOR VIDEO OF THE FUCKING YEAR NIGGUH WHAT THE FUCK IS GOOD NIGGAU!!!!!!!!!!!” tweeted Tyler upon hearing that he was up for the coveted Video of the Year. He will compete in that category against Adele (“Rolling in the Deep”), Katy Perry (“Firework”), Bruno Mars (“Grenade”), and the Beastie Boys (“Make Some Noise”).

In addition to Video of the Year, the controversial rapper will vie for Best New Artist with Kreayshawn (“Gucci Gucci”), Big Sean (“My Last”), Wiz Khalifa (“Black and Yellow”), and Foster the People (“Pumped Up Kicks”).

“I GOT TWO!!!!! I HASNT EVEN BEEN A YEAR!!!? MY GOAL LIST IS FUCKING ALMSOT GONE,” exclaimed Tyler.

He made no apologies for flooding his followers’ timelines with his explicit tweets. “Un-Follow Me Now, This Is Gonna Be the Only Thing I Tweet About For The Next Week. Ive Wanted This For Years Fuck. What The Fuck.”

While he was in a celebratory mood, he did call out fellow nominee Bruno Mars, who he famously dissed on “Yonkers,” the song and video for which he was nominated. “IF I FUCKING LOSE TO FUCKING BRUNO FUCKING MARS IM GOING ON A KILLING SPREE. DEADASS,” he wrote.

Kanye West, who called “Yonkers” the best video of the past year, also received a personal shout out. “@kanyewest Fuck Dude, Thanks Alot. Shit, This Is Fucking Awesome.”

Find out if Tyler takes home a Moonman when the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards air live on August 28 at 9 p.m. EST.

Lupe Fiasco may have sent out his last tweet today. The “Show Goes On” rapper claims he’s done using the social networking website.

“i’m quitting twitter. it was fun while it lasted,” Lupe told his fans on Wednesday. “thanks for the support on #lasers and i will see you all on the road soon… don’t forget…Love Always Shines Everytime Remember 2 Smile….”

He turned over his account to singer-songwriter Nikki Jean, who was featuredon his single “Hip-Hop Saved My Life.” She immediately began promoting her album and changed out the background to her album art.

Looks Like DMX Will Be Staying In Prison A Little Longer

DMX’s prison stay has been extended. The embattled hip-hop star will remain behind bars after being busted for drugs.

Law enforcement officials tell TMZ that the rapper, born Earl Simmons, violated several rules while serving time in Arizona’s Yuma state prison. He was cited for seven disciplinary infractions including drug possession, failing or refusing a drug test, unauthorized smoking, being disrespectful, and disorderly conduct.

The “Party Up (Up in Here)” hitmaker was scheduled to be released on Wednesday, seven months after he was sentenced to serve time for a probation violation. The date has now been delayed to July 19 because he tested positive for drugs, reports CNN.
