Jay-Z brushes off Weezy's diss

With his first child on the way and the “Watch the Throne” tour set to launch later this month, the last thing on Jay-Z’s mind is beef. The hip-hop titan had little to say when asked what he thought about Lil Wayne’s subliminal shots on Tha Carter IV.

Weezy’s controversial verse appears on “It’s Good” featuring Jadakiss and Drake. “Talkin’ about baby money, I got your baby money, kidnap your bitch, get that how much you love your lady money/ I know you fake ni**a, press your brakes ni**a/ I’ll take you out, that’s a date, ni**a,” raps the Young Money MC.

The lyrics were in response to Jay’s verse on “H•A•M,” where he reportedly took shots at Birdman, spitting, “I’m like really, half a billi, ni**a really you got baby money/ Keep it real with ni**as, ni**as ain’t got my lady money.”

MTV News caught up with Hov at his carnival-themed benefit last week, where he reluctantly addressed the situation.

“That’s sport, that’s rap music,” said Jay. “Nothing is going to change but the participants. I don’t even see why that’s news.”

Lil Wayne and Birdman Celebrate Win with Mavs

Lil Wayne, Birdman and the YMCMB entourage took part in the celebration last night with the Mavs at Club LIV, in Miami, Florida. For those of you who don’t own a TV or do not follow the NBA Finals, Miami Heat took on the Mavs and lost. Not only did the Heat lose, Birdman also ended up losing his 2 million dollar bet but who cares, he won a milli this past Super Bowl.

Lil Wayne Heats Up Miami with New Girl

Lil Wayne soaked up the sun, jetting from Las Vegas to Miami for some R&R on Tuesday (May 24). A tatted Weezy held hands with a mystery woman as they strolled on the beach. Fans approached him for photos and he happily agreed, mugging shirtless for the cameras. His new chick was seen holding shots, but Wayne wasn’t able to partake in the drinking games due to the terms of hisprobation. The “6 Foot 7 Foot” rapper is enjoying his down time before hitting the road on the second leg of the “I Am Still Music” tour on July 13th.

Game's "Red Nation" Video Banned On MTV and BET

In early April, Game filmed the video for his new single 'Red Nation' in downtown Los Angeles, describing the shoot as "a real rebel scene," and just a month later, both MTV and BET have decided to ban the controversial video.

Game took to Twitter to rant about the new ban on Monday night (May 9), writing, "So BET "BANNED" the #REDNation video !!!!! Said me & @liltunechi were too gang affiliated in it. Thoughts?"

Lil Wayne Holding Out On Bangladesh

Bangladesh created magic once again with the beat for the Lil Wayne’s 6 Foot, 7 Foot song. With the song tearing up the charts and having accumulated over 166,000 downloads you would never expect the dilemma Bangladesh is facing. Lil Wayne’s Cash Money/Young Money label has not paid.

Bangladesh is making it very clear Lil Wayne is now on the back burner. He has no intention to work on additional beats for Lil Wayne until they come to terms on how to stop this financial mess.

Not the First Time Bangladesh Has Been Left Waiting
Part of this issue comes back to a decision from Bangladesh. Where the artist normally requires a percentage up front he chooses to give exceptions to top stars like Lil Wayne. He counts on their ability to sell their songs and albums to guarantee success. This is not the first time a dispute has broken out between Bangladesh and the Cash Money/Young Money label. Maybe Bangladesh just needs to state “Cash Money Cash Money” from now on.

The big question, does Lil Wayne agree with Bangladesh. It is very possible Lil Wayne is not expecting to make payments until the official release of Tha Carter IV, which is headlined by 6 Foot 7 Foot. Could it be this entire debate and problem is nothing more than simple miscommunication between two stars?

Lil Wayne Filming "I Am Still Music" Tour Documentary

Lil Wayne is turning his trek across the country for his I Am Still Music tour into a documentary.

The Young Money labelhead revealed to MTV during a tour stop in New Orleans last week, that cameras have been capturing footage of his first tour since being released from prison. "I just felt like a movie like that hasn't come out in so long. I also felt that I was the artists and I have the label and the artists with me to pull it off," he explained.

Referencing hip-hop documentaries like 'The Show,' Weezy felt it necessary to bring the behind-the-scenes element back to fans. "At that time when they put those movies out, we as the fans were interested in what they were doing on the road. Nobody hasn't came around since then that was that interesting other than Young Money. It's going to be real major; it's going to be real big, I will eat real nice."

This isn't the first time the 28-year-old has let the cameras inside his personal life. Wayne reportedly took part in a documentary following him as he prepared to begin his eight month prison sentence last year, shot by DJ Scoob Doo. The project was never released, but according to MTV, Scoob is also shooting the current project, so the new footage may be added to the upcoming documentary.

Wayne, Travis Barker, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj and the rest of his Young Money family are wrapping up the tail end of the tour with three shows in Canada this week. No word yet on whether or not the documentary will hit the silver screen or go straight to DVD.
