Bangladesh created magic once again with the beat for the Lil Wayne’s 6 Foot, 7 Foot song. With the song tearing up the charts and having accumulated over 166,000 downloads you would never expect the dilemma Bangladesh is facing. Lil Wayne’s Cash Money/Young Money label has not paid.
Bangladesh is making it very clear Lil Wayne is now on the back burner. He has no intention to work on additional beats for Lil Wayne until they come to terms on how to stop this financial mess.
Not the First Time Bangladesh Has Been Left Waiting
Part of this issue comes back to a decision from Bangladesh. Where the artist normally requires a percentage up front he chooses to give exceptions to top stars like Lil Wayne. He counts on their ability to sell their songs and albums to guarantee success. This is not the first time a dispute has broken out between Bangladesh and the Cash Money/Young Money label. Maybe Bangladesh just needs to state “Cash Money Cash Money” from now on.
The big question, does Lil Wayne agree with Bangladesh. It is very possible Lil Wayne is not expecting to make payments until the official release of Tha Carter IV, which is headlined by 6 Foot 7 Foot. Could it be this entire debate and problem is nothing more than simple miscommunication between two stars?
